I am a UK class A licence holder since 1981 my callsign is G4MGD - I have in the past been a Novice instructor , but due to other commitments no longer do so.
Occacisionally I am active on 10-80m , 2m and 70 cms , and also use YAESU (tm) equipment including an FT1000MP , FT736R , and FT8000R.
The DL4SAW (GSHPC) is my choice of SSTV program via a Hamcomm type interface , with AEA PK232MBX and PAKRATT II as my multimode comms.
My antennas are a Cushcraft X50 and a SRW comms Cobweb.
The QTH is Canvey Island ,Essex , England (JO01GM) and is 4m ASL ,both antennas are 8m AGL.
I will be writing a user viewpoint of the FT1000MP and Cobweb in due course.
